August Meeting

We had 41 in attendance in August which included 2 guests. No new members.

Since the July meeting the members were invited to the field trip to Williamsburg and Jamestown as well as River Run.
Deana was recognized for her success as artist of the month at Bull Mountain Arts.

Pending actions include our getting ready for the Patrick County and State Fair, Bassett Festival on September 8th, the Peach Festival, and submitting photos for the Henry County website to Masha during August.

New business included our giving notice of the September meeting being held on the 2nd Monday due to Labor Day.

Revised rules to the fair was announced and attached. Homestead sells white mats and the Martinsville Wal-Mart furniture manager has just ordered 40 additional mats. State fair is also in September and guidelines are available upon request.

Pat gave a report and received input for another field trip, possibly to Biltmore Estates and Charleston. .

Alfred reported on PSA with special membership rates for youth.

Hope to see you on September 10th. Competion will continue on “Being Creative” with a limit of 2 photos per person.

Program will be “Still Life Photography” and everyone is encouraged to bring their camera for this lesson. Still Life is in demand and not often taught, so do not miss this meeting.
